Three days of cricket, friends, family, food, drink and entertainment are coming to Bearsted Green as Bearsted Cricket Club Weekend 2026 takes over the Green from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th September.
This is the weekend when the whole club comes together. Juniors, seniors, women, parents, families, friends, supporters and the wider Bearsted community – whether you’re playing, watching or simply joining us for a drink on the Green, we’d love to see you there.
FRIDAY – QUIZ NIGHT
We kick things off on Friday evening with our ever-popular Club Quiz Night.
Most tables have already been snapped up, but there may still be some last-minute availability. If you fancy taking on Bearsted’s finest minds – or at least having a very good go – check the details on the website and contact Tim Croom.
Then on Saturday morning, Club Weekend really gets going.
SATURDAY – CRICKET, BBQ, HAWKSTONE & MUSIC
From 10.30am, the Green is open for softball cricket, with our juniors, ladies, seniors and parents all encouraged to get involved. It’s informal, it’s fun and it’s a chance for different generations of the club to play together.
From 1pm, attention turns to our two showcase matches – the Mixed HUNDRED and Club HUNDRED.
With around 40–50 players expected to be involved across the afternoon, we’ll have two games running in alternating innings, bringing together players from across BCC for an afternoon of fast-paced cricket on the Green.
And while the cricket is going on, we’ll also celebrate another fantastic junior season, with our U11, U13, U15 and U17 team awards presented throughout the afternoon and early evening.
But Club Weekend 2026 is about much more than what happens in the middle.
For the first time, we’ll have our new fully licensed bar featuring Hawkstone Lager and Cider, alongside the BBQ, music on the Green and plenty of opportunity to settle in for the afternoon with friends and family.
We’ll also be joined by H&F and TCC, with end-of-season cricket kit and equipment offers available during the day.
So even if you’re not playing, come down, grab something from the BBQ, get yourself a Hawkstone and enjoy an afternoon of cricket on Bearsted Green.
AND WHEN THE CRICKET FINISHES… WE’RE NOT FINISHED!
Saturday rolls straight into the evening as the marquee comes alive with LIVE COUNTRY MUSIC.
We’re sharing the evening with a member’s 50th birthday celebration, and all BCC members are invited to stay and join the party.
There’s a Yellowstone (Western/Country) theme, so dig out the denim, check shirts, cowboy boots and Stetsons if you fancy it – although fancy dress certainly isn’t compulsory.
The bar will be open, the music will be live and we’ll keep Club Weekend going well into Saturday night.
SUNDAY – FAMILY DAY ON THE GREEN
Sunday brings things back to where so much of BCC starts – our youngest cricketers and families.
Our U7s and U9s take to the Green from 10.30am, followed by the Minis awards at 12.30pm, before the Sunday XI takes centre stage for the afternoon.
The BBQ and bar will be running again, so bring the family, find a spot around the boundary and enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon of cricket, food and drink on the Green.
ONE CLUB. ONE WEEKEND. EVERYONE WELCOME.
Club Weekend is about celebrating everything that makes Bearsted CC special – from our youngest players picking up a bat for the first time to our senior teams, women’s cricket, volunteers, families, supporters and friends who make the club what it is.
We’ve made this year’s weekend bigger than ever, and now we need the most important ingredient: you lot!
Come for an hour. Come for a match. Come for the BBQ. Come for a Hawkstone. Come for the music. Or, better still, make a weekend of it.
