Another first for the Club was achieved last weekend with the newly formed ladies group sending a team to partake in the Softball Festival organised by Lenham CC..

In this 7 team mini tournament as the first ever event we have attended with the Team we all felt the pressure of walking into the unknown.. But our Ladies have been progressing a lot even though all are still in the first year of playing..

All those doubts and nerves at the start were soon placed well and truly in the past as the team went out and handled themselves impeccably and walked out worthy winners in the first 4 games to top the table.... Batting Bowling and Fielding coaching sessions clearly showing there worth, the great thing displayed is that you could see from the boundary that they were learning every game that went by, but with two games left to play against other teams also at the top hard work was still needed..

Sadly they lost out on a last over thriller after the opposition only went ahead on runs with one ball remaining of the Game.. So to the final game where maybe the length of the day finally took its toll and with also coming up against clearly a well trained team (apparently Ex England player behind the Stumps :0 )..

A great effort by the Team, but as always said "Cricket is the Winner ;) "
