The Club Weekend RETURNS with Marquee, BBQ, bar, quiz, cricket and activities returns 10th to 12th Sept 2021...

Following on from the success of our inaugural events in 2018 and 2019, and after the challenging times we have all faced due to the global coronavirus pandemic during 2020 and 2021, this year (should the lifting of restrictions by the government hold) the club will once again be running a fun end of season event for the senior and junior members of the club, as well as parents, associate members and the local community.

The continued investment of time and effort by our amazing committee and volunteers in developing the club, both on and off the field, has unfortunately been impacted by the recent external events so we hope that this event will encourage increased enagement again and will allow us to celebrate the end of the season and this terrible period in style, making use of our picturesque location and showcasing what we do to the local community.

This year the club will be running the event over three days, with the hugely popular quiz on the Friday evening (limited space, book your table of 10 early) and cricket and activities on both the Saturday and the Sunday. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the weekend from our BBQ and licensed bar.

Weekend Events

  • Friday evening we will once again be holding a fundraising Quiz Night as a forerunner to the club days – tables of 10 max. can be booked for £75 (contact Tim Croom 07769 725452 to secure your table). The quiz is always over subscribed with over 100 people in attendance and space limited to 10 tables… book early to avoid disappointment! And remember a face to face quiz night is BETTER THAN A LOCKDOWN ZOOM QUIZ!
  • Saturday will be our main Club Day where as usual we will be hosting a club wide tournament for men and women from late morning until early evening (format to be finalised), followed by a members and friends social with food, drinks, team awards and some light entertainment.
  • Sunday will be our Junior / Senior day, where several age-group matches will be played on the Green – involving 50+ of our junior players from 8 years old to 16 years old and maybe 8 to 16 of our 50+ current and former members! The fun and activities for kids will run for the whole day, along with some side entertainment. The day will end with an early evening end of season presentation of awards to its junior members.

Put it in your diary and we look forward to seeing you there!
