As part of an initiative by the ICC (International Cricket Council) and ECB (England & Wales Cricket Board) affiliated cricket clubs are being asked to host child / family friendly and activity-based events to better connect themselves with their local communities. These events should take place at some point during the Cricket World Cup to promote both the event and cricket in general.

In support of this initiative on Saturday 15th June, Bearsted Cricket Club are planning to hold their Cricket World Cup Club event which will incorporate a junior match in the morning, followed by a senior match in the afternoon supported by other activities taking place on the Green for all members and the community to enjoy on the day. Bearsted CC will be providing a BBQ for snacks throughout the day along with licensed bar at the pavilion.
