Long standing club member, and popular character at the club, who sadly passed away on 1st April 2024.

Noel was an excellent wicket keeper, following in a long line of great keepers in the club.

He first played for BCC in 1984 and played until 1990. He had a spell at Ditton Cricket Club before returning to Bearsted in 2007. He scored 2 centuries for Bearsted, the highest being 132* against High Halstow in 1984. He scored just over 1,000 runs for BCC but also took 40 catches and 17 stumping in 70 games.

He was elected as a vice President of the club, a position he was very proud of. In 2023 Noeal made a generous donation to the club which enable the purchase of the electronic scoreboard that is now used at every match on the Green.

A regular supporter of the club both on match days and at club events, he will be sorely missed.

Noel's funeral will be held on 10th May with a service at Holy Cross Church (11.30am). Noel's family have asked that we pass on these details to all of his cricketing chums.
