Following on from the club successes of 2018 with three promotions across our three senior sides, the growth and excellent performances of our junior sides and the encouraging attendance at our inaugural Club Weekend on the green, Bearsted CC are looking to make further investment in continuing this development both off and on the field in 2019.

One of the areas we are currently considering is the substantial investment in some new roll on roll off covers. These covers would allow us to support the excellent work carried out by our groundsman, Dave Wratten, in providing superb cricket wickets for our assaults on the KCVL Division 1 and Division 5 titles and the KVL Division 2 title but will also allow us to keep the game on more often when dealing with the changeable English summer weather.

As well as being an excellent addition to the cricket club they will also provide a new opportunity for local businesses to show their support for the club in making this substantial investment whilst in return gaining excellent exposure within the village all year round.

As we are extremely fortunate to play cricket on one of the most picturesque village greens in Kent, we plan on having green covers to minimise visual impact in the community and will work with our friends at the parish council to ensure that these are approved with sponsor logos being clear but tasteful. At this stage, and to be clear, we have had initial approval from the Parish Council to consider and store covers on the green and will look to gain final approval to the design in due course.
