Congratulations to all the winners who were presented with their awards at the annual Celebration Dinner and Dance.

On Friday, 20th October, Bearsted CC held its annual Celebration Dinner and Dance at Bearsted Golf Club where our junior and senior awards for the season were presented.

As we heard on the night, 2017 was a tough season for most on the teams on the field, but it is of course important still, and in many cases more so, to celebrate the commitment and on field performances of our up and coming juniors and more seasoned senior pros!

Congratulations to all of this season’s winners across all categories:

Clubman 2017 – Steve PEARCE
Club Player of the Year 2017 – Steve PEARCE

U16’s Most Improved Player 2017 – Josh WALL

Last, but of course not least, the award for the person with the most success during the season at losing their wicket for 0, naught, nothing, zero, zilch, nada or in more common cricketing parlance, the person who got the most ducks (QUACK!).

Mallard Trophy 2017 – Ben LUSH

Down to earth with a bump after picking up two senior playing awards – but well-done Ben!

Congratulations to all the winners, here’s to a more successful season on the field on 2018 and some more great individual and team performances. And remember, pre-season nets start at the beginning of February at Sutton Valance – details in the events calendar!
